At the end of 2022, RaveXXL was introduced in the iconic Now&Wow Club in Rotterdam, in the middle of the gigantic hard techno boom. While many organizations focused on the mainstream, RaveXXL chose a different path by focusing more on the underground scene.
The concept provided a stage for upcoming talent, with artists such as Oguz, 6ejou, Novah, Karah, Cloudy, Toxic Machinery, and Hades, all performing at RaveXXL in the early stages of their careers. The mission was clear: to create an intimate, raw vibe with an emphasis on the pure underground hard techno sound.

Challenge

The biggest challenge for RaveXXL was introducing a completely new hard techno concept in a very popular but saturated market. The scene was dominated by popular events like Verknipt and Free Your Mind, making it harder to stand out, let alone build a community. RaveXXL wanted to stand out by creating an intimate underground vibe with a focus on emerging talents.

Strategie

We developed a Paid Ads Strategy which, besides selling tickets directly, was also supposed to stimulate the growth of a loyal community around RaveXXL. Our approach started with a strong focus on TikTok and Instagram, channels where  mainly the young hard techno audience (18-24) can be found. Instead of focusing only on conversions, we created a strategy where content was at the core.

Our content strategy focused on the colorful, diverse and raw underground atmosphere of RaveXXL and was translated into eye-catching visuals and videos that perfectly reflected the essence of the concept. This content was used as the basis for paid ads.

Thanks to this combined approach, we not only managed to sell thousands of tickets, but also built a close-knit community of more than 10,000 social media followers, which is essential for RaveXXL's long-term success.

Resultaten

The results of our collaboration with Rave XXL are impressive. In 2024, Rave XXL has organized twelve successful events with more than 15,000 visitors. What started in Rotterdam quickly grew into an international success, with shows in Belgium and even Nexus Paris.
With our campaigns, we have reached over 1 million accounts to date, which together accounted for almost 8 million impressions. These campaigns have gained over 10,000 followers on Instagram alone and more than 15,500 tickets sold with a Return on Ad Spend of 17.22, equivalent to approximately €1.16 per ticket sold.
